Assessments PDF Print E-mail

What does an assessment involve?

We gather information about your child. We ask you to complete a family questionnaire. If we have permission, we also ask for written information from school.

Next we work one to one with the pupil or student. This is generally done at one of our consulting rooms but we can assess at your child's school if specifically requested. We complete a range of standardised tests to gather an understanding of general ability, information processing strengths and difficulties, preferred mode of learning, as well as ability to focus and concentrate. We also gain a measure of his/her level of competence with basic literacy and maths. We absolutely hope that he/she will enjoy the assessment process and leave the office smiling. We work hard to achieve this.
