Andrea has been working as an Educational Psychologist for the past eight years. Prior to this, she worked for seven years within education as a teacher and private tutor. Andrea has experience of working in both the state and private sectors. She has worked extensively with children and young people from 2½ -19 years old. Her experience includes work with pre-school children, primary and secondary pupils in mainstream schools, as well as within specialist units providing for children with a wide range of special needs.

Andrea is a regular lecturer and tutor on a teacher training course linked to the University of Hertfordshire. She has also lectured to Educational Psychologists at the Institute of Education, University of London and the Tavistock Clinic.

In addition to her direct work with children, their parents and teachers, Andrea has extensive experience of running training sessions for teachers, headteachers, special needs staff and other professionals on a wide range of subjects including emotional intelligence, thinking skills and raising self esteem. Andrea has presented her work at numerous conferences in London.

Andrea has two young daughters and is thus fully inmmersed in the complex issues which come along with parenting. This adds a personal dimension to her work with children and families.

Andrea has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the Institute of Education, University of London. She has a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), also from the Institute of Education, a Montessori teacher training and a Psychology undergraduate degree (BSc Hons) from University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. She is fully chartered and is registered with the HPC.
