Kevin has 10 years experience working as an Educational Psychologist. Prior to starting work as an Educational Psychologist Kevin worked for a number of years as a teacher in primary schools. He has experience of working as both a Special Needs Co-ordinator and senior manager in schools. Kevin has also trained and worked as a specialist teacher with dyslexic students. He has experience of working with pupils in both the state and private sectors.

Kevin has a particular interest and expertise in the area of Specific Learning Difficulties and has extensive experience of providing training and guidance to teachers and parents as part of a specialist role within a large county Education Authourity. He currently works as a tutor on a training course for specialist teachers with Dyslexia Action, and is also involved in contributing to the writing of training materials and guidance for teachers that are being developed at a national level.

Kevin has contributed to training sessions for teachers, headteachers and teaching assistants on a wide variety of subjects including ADHD, managing behaviour and supporting the needs of autistic learners.

Kevin has two young children who are both of primary school age and therefore is well aware of the pressures and enjoyment that go hand in hand with being a parent.

Kevin has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from University College London, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from the University of Hull and a specialist qualification in teaching pupils with dyslexia from the University of York. He is fully chartered and registered with the HPC.
